Between warming up before, between and after events I probably did a total of 40 mInutes
Swimming race 2:00 [3]
Swam the 100 breast, 50 free, and the 50 breast in medley relay. In both the 100 breast and 50 free I got a new PR. The 100 breast I got a 1:05.05, which is 3 seconds faster than my previous best. Then in the 50 free I got a 0:24.38 which is only a few milliseconds faster than my previous best.
First race at nationals and it went great. I dropped 12 seconds off my time from earlier this year and got 14th out of 69 in the 200 breast. Tomorrow I'm swimming the 50 free and the 100 breast. Then Sunday I'm doing 50 back and 50 breast.
Arrived in Atlanta today and were allowed to swim in the pool for a bit, so we went there and just swam a few laps. Then we played with their starting blocks for a while. Their blocks had a wedge to put your back foot on, so their starting blocks were like the starting blocks for track.
Now the next three days will be competition; tomorrow I'm doing one event and then I will be doing two events each of the last two days.
8000 meters: Wish I could have swam longer, but I got to practice late and they were closing the pool at eight. Tomorrow I will have to make a trip to the rec pool before I start my journey to Georgia
2400 meters: Took a study brake and went to swim practice to do some yardage, or i guess meterage. Practice was really easy, all we did was warm up, one set, and then 10 x 50 off the block.
Sunday we started the day with a middle distance course with butterfly loops were we were to focus on simplification. Then we did two sprint courses to finish off the training camp.
Over all the camp was great, we were definately worked had mentally and physically. Right now it is monday and I'm still really sore.
