Orienteering race (ACT long) 1:00:11 [4] 9.4 km (6:24 / km)

simply awful. Got fixated on heading to 2 from the start triangle. Huge catching feature and a linear feature to get me there (fence) so just ran without keeping close map contact. Realised that I had to head to 1 first when i was half way to 2, and with poor (no) map contact quickly got lost. Eventually relocated, but by then had taken 35 minutes on a leg that should have taken less than 20.

The rest of my splits were competitive, but I ended up second last. And tired.

Oh well - at least I learned a lesson today!

Orienteering race (ACT middle) 44:41 [5] 5.3 km (8:26 / km)

A good run apart from 3 silly errors, one of which was a 180 - fortunately only ran the wrong way for 2 minutes, then of course back again for 2 minutes.

Was frustrated then to find that less than 2 minutes faster would have got me second, instead of 3rd last. :(

Orienteering race (ACT sprint) 15:41 [5] 2.3 km (6:49 / km)

Fast and furious. Went more carefully than needed in the bush bits as the legs looked long and the features were point features. Being 1:3000 scale though, they were there in no time!
