Pretty tired post-work, so just a little loop out to the Swinside and back on the road bike to get used to gears/downhills etc.

Plod up Bannerdale Crags with Partytown. Legs were ok to start with, then absolutely knackered as soon as we hit the climb, so mostly walked. Lovely day though

Biking 1:00:00 [3]

Playing out on the road bike under Vic's supervision. Out to Thornthwaite via Braithwaite and back through Ullock and Portinscale

Note

Splashing in the lake with Jane and fluceluce, including a splish to Goose Island (didn't land, too many gooses)

Running (TWA) 4:26:08 [4] 16.57 mi (16:04 / mi) +1930m 11:48 / mi
shoes: Walshes 2nd pair

Teenager With Altitude. Hot hot hot. Soaked vest before the start and at every opportunity thereafter. Drank about 2 litres of water during the course of the race. Was quite happy with how I looked after myself all told - about 20 minutes slower than last year, but not surprising given the conditions (and a lot of people were), but wasn't in too much of a state at the end. Took a new route off Dale Head which turned out quite good.
