Round the lake with headtorch to make up for yesterday's bail. Bad day at work so on autopilot most of the way. Saw one other group of runners going the other way and that was it. Lots of noisy owls. Need to stop listening to true crime podcasts at inappropriate times (i.e. when I'm on my own in the woods at night). Not that it made me run any faster mind you.

Going down Borrowdale road rather than taking the Lakeside path makes this run considerably shorter

Set out to run round the lake, but felt rubbish so bailed and swung up through Great Wood and home by Springs Road. Changed into my wetsuit and went for a swim instead (though very short - need to get round to buying a warmer/2nd hat and swim socks - it's cold now!)
