Running 53:34 [4] 3.49 mi (15:21 / mi) +572m 10:10 / mi
shoes: Walshes 3rd pair

Stybarrow Dodd. Was shortened due to bad weather. Climbed well, wasn't descending too badly until I wobbled my ankle. Got over that, then lower down went properly over on it - painful enough that I had to stop, then slowly hobble back down to the finish. Fat ankle now, boooo

Biking 50:08 [2] 9.81 mi (5:07 / mi) +220m 4:47 / mi

Gentle afternoon spin around the pond. Legs tired.

Climbing in the evening

Swimming 1:00:00 [3] 1.0 mi (1:00:01 / mi)

Pool swimming again since I was in Carlisle. 500m breaststroke warm up, 1100m front crawl (with a couple of little breaks). Find it difficult not to stop when I turn round in a pool, so the big endurance test will be when its warm enough to attempt this sort of distance in the lake! Time is ish as I paused my watch and forgot to restart it, so missed 100m out of the recording.

Everyone always bangs on about how good swimming is for burning calories, but according to my watch I burned <200 in an hour? (Despite the fact I was knackered and starving afterwards). I'm not particularly fussed (I don't do this to lose weight), but suggests either the commonly held belief or my watch is very wrong.

Swimming 56:39 [2] 4.67 mi (12:08 / mi) +277m 10:15 / mi
shoes: Kanadia TR7 2

Was really sleepy tired when I got home, so thought a run would either wake me up, or justify me dozing on the sofa for the rest of the night. Potter up Latrigg with TP. Blowing a hoolie on top, so not the most pleasant run ever.

Wednesday Jan 29 #

Home from work late after going for drinks to celebrate Sally passing her transfer panel, so didn't bother.

Intervals intervals 32:39 [2] 3.7 mi (8:49 / mi) +38m 8:33 / mi

(7mins, 2min, 2mins) x2, with 2 minutes recovery between each effort. Short round town loop. Small group so very spread out, found it difficult to maintain concentration on the longer loops as had no-one in front of me.

Running 10:39 [2] 1.09 mi (9:46 / mi) +11m 9:28 / mi
shoes: NB840 new

Over to the leisure centre, warm up. Got dropped on the warm up again - frustrating, especially when I'm not the slowest person in the session, but I don't really want to work hard to keep up during the warm up and knacker myself before the session!

Monday Jan 27 #

Running 34:53 [2] 3.24 mi (10:46 / mi) +32m 10:27 / mi
shoes: Kanadia TR7 2

The world was not a place that my brain wanted to be in today, so gentle potter with TP on the medium lake loop, before making debut (and probably last, based on my performance) outing to the Keswick pub quiz league

Sunday Jan 26 #

Running 1:22:40 [3] 4.41 mi (18:45 / mi) +613m 13:06 / mi
ahr:129 max:156 shoes: Walshes 3rd pair

Potter with TP up Causey Pike, Outerside and Barrow. Legs tired from yesterday, unsurprisingly
