Watch out of battery. Water getting colder, bit of brain freeze when I got in but then got used to it and could do some front crawl. Air cold though which made getting out unpleasant! Lovely morning for a splish

Had intended a longish run today, but hip/psoas is still playing up a bit, so turned back early. Latrigg via the tunnel, car park, out to the stream, decided to turn back, up the ramp and back down the tunnel. Bit annoying, spent the afternoon sitting on a mountain of pillows as I'm currently blaming my office chair (swapped uni office chair for one dad brought up a few weeks ago that doesn't adjust as high)

Yoga for weight loss - hips and core. Lots of warriors and nice hip stretchy poses. Did a bit of psoas stretching afterwards too

Pedal up Whinlatter and back. Right hip sore on the climb, shame as I felt pretty strong apart from that. Also put paid to any idea of going to Lorton and doing a double lap, as no point trashing it. Bit cold, great fun though

Club training in Fitz Park. Round the park from the bridge towards the football pitch to the pavilion, tight corner then up the hill and along to the BMX track. Fell into a group with Kerry and Lou (largely because we all insisted on walking/slow jogging the recoveries and a lot of people were running them) which was nice because I could chase/compete with Kerry. Managed 6 reps, but on the 6th started to feel hip/psoas and my quad tightened up, so skipped the last one.

Better warm up than normal. Often not much of a warm up at club training, but difficult to warm up before unless you turn up right at 6.15. I'm trying to be a bit more organised now and turn up at 6, but then there's little point warming up beforehand as you just get cold again standing in the rain for 15mins.

Walla, Ashness and lakeshore with TP. HR stayed pleasingly low during this, but legs were seriously lacking any real bounce and were quite tired, so bit of an odd feeling to keep checking watch and see that I wasn't working that hard, despite feeling tired. Hey ho, lovely evening out, and need to make the most of the light evenings
