Swimming 37:04 [2] 1.38 km (26:52 / km)

First wetsuit swim in aaaages, but went the whole hog (hat, goggles etc) to try and do some front crawl without getting brain freeze. Didn't work early on, so breaststroked from the beach out to yellow bucket island to get some distance in, then once I was over the brain freeze did some front crawl on the way back. Was going ok until I stopped to look up and realised I felt really sea sick (was choppy and had forgotten my earplugs). Then had to resort to breaststroke again. Ah well, at least some front crawl technique is still there after 6 months of strictly not putting my head under the water.

Right quad sore after (I don't have great breastroke leg style unless I really concentrate which tends to put more strain on my right leg), so rolling and icing and compression tights in the evening

Tuesday May 11 #

Running 1:09:03 [3] 6.18 mi (11:10 / mi) +346m 9:31 / mi
ahr:139 max:168 shoes: Roclites (turquoise)

"Steady state" session (similar to fartlek?). 70min run with 3x10 sets of "ss" running (i.e. pace you can hold for 45mins to an hour) with 5 mins in between. As per, I have no idea what pace this is, so went for running a bit harder than normal but not flat out. Right quad starting to tighten up near the end of this.

Monday May 10 #

ahr:138 max:166 shoes: Roclites (turquoise)
