I've been stretching all week but I added some foam rolling (or bidon rolling as it were), bent leg calf raises and plenty of icing. I plan to take a short test run on Tuesday afternoon - if the calf still gives issues then, I'll resort to some needling!

Up through Sunninghill Gardens and down the K60 with Fran. Acute pain in lower left calf made itself known at the 4km mark again.. concerning :-(

Slight pain from lower calf/ankle towards the top of the hill. Fine on the way down. Right shin also a tad tender. A few days of rest are in order methinks!

Or maybe I'm just getting paranoid with the race looming ;)

Picked up a slight niggle in my lower left calf towards the end. Decided to play it safe and walk the last 2km home from there.
