Covered the middle 2 days of the Torres del Paine W from Paine Grande to Las Torres with a side-trip up the Valle Frances. Some beautiful spots - wish we had more time to enjoy it at a relaxed pace! Earliest we could start after the busses and ferry ride was noon. And the last bus back was at 7pm. Seemed quite doable but Valle Frances was rocky and slow so we pretty much jogged all the easy terrain after that. With a full day pack, so more like a shuffle ;)

Left the bookings for Torres del Paine too late so have to cover the highlights of the park with 2 day hikes instead. Today was up to the classic viewpoint of the Torres themselves and it did not disappoint! I suppose 1500m sheer cliffs towering over an alpine-blue lake never do ;) Only annoying thing was the crowds... there were at least 200 people at the viewpoint with us (on not the easiest hike) and we felt like we must have passed a few hundred more on the way up and down! Not too bleak that we aren't doing the overnight trail as the campsites we walked past are a total zoo.

Lovely long hike taking in both the Laguna de Los Tres and the Laguna Torre. Mostly clear day so the view of the Fitz Roy range was stupendous! Cerro Torre was still covered in cloud though. Busy day on the trails with a few hundred people out there..
