running warm up/down 10:00 [3] 1.0 km (10:00 / km)

to the start and a few practice controls at British age class champs at Cademan and Thringstone Woods, Leicestershire.

orienteering race 1:17:30 [5] **** 6.21 km (12:29 / km) +175m 10:56 / km

British age class champs. quite a tricky area, and, after getting a bit confused at the start and going back to he start kite to try again, did pretty well. got pulled along a bit at times by soem faster runners, but for the most part was on my own, and at times navigated better than some faster runners around me. finished about half way down the field; pretty good for me; and a really enjoyable course.

mainly before the heats, and a bit before the final.

orienteering race 26:22 [5] **** 3.0 km (8:47 / km)

heats at the BEOC sprint in nottm. a really good area and had a good run apart from no 3. i am just too slow.

orienteering race 25:38 [5] 2.9 km (8:50 / km)

D final. running slower then the morning, but no real mistakes; a bit hesitant in places.

lunchtime norfolk park route; nice n steady.

harriers; a longerroute, up to and across loxleycommon, further on towardsbradfield then over the top with view across to wharncliffe, down to outibridge and back through beeley woods and middlewoodroad; beautiful eveningand bluebells in beeley; super.

running 22:00 [3] 3.0 mi (7:20 / mi)

run to work and walk home

park race 1 in weston park.

orienteering race 1:00:00 [4] 6.0 km (10:00 / km)

60 min score; set off with no intention to try very hard, and, with no pressure, did much better than i have don ein a score before. managed to finish about half way down the field; picked up all the high pointers and none of the low ones; seemed to be a good strategy, and got back to the finish in perfect time.
