running 53:00 [4] 10.0 km (5:18 / km)

Original 10k route from home. A good time considering the first mile was a warm up, and the second largely up hill.

orienteering race 1:05:00 [4] 4.7 km (13:50 / km)

treeton. spring cup 3. quite good going early on; katherine caught me quite quickly after the long path run to the first control and some hesitation on my part to number 2 and 3. the K and I exchanged the lead several times; i was just ahead for 7 to 11, then i messed up on 12, which i knew would be tricky and was taking it slowly, but still missed and turned the wrong way; i found it when i saw K punching it! 14 was a disaster but not my fault as it had the wrong number on it, so i visited it twice from two directions and the send time thought it must be mis numbered so pucnhed it and finished. shame to spoil a good run, and mess up the results.

running warm up/down 10:00 [1] 1.0 km (10:00 / km)

jog to start and walk back.

Tuesday May 12, 2009 #

running 30:00 [3] 3.5 km (8:34 / km)

to work and longer route back

Monday May 11, 2009 #

running 32:00 [1] 3.0 mi (10:40 / mi)

run to work and walk home

running 27:30 [3] 3.5 mi (7:51 / mi)

lunchtime, run to killis for hoover bags (exciting!), then home, then back to work.

running 38:46 [5] 6.16 km (6:18 / km)

trunce no 3, but our first of the season. felt rubbish before hand, but felt much better whengot going. didn't push too hard on the way out and so was able to take advantge of the long downhill road on the way back. had forgotten to take fell shoes was was running in road shoes. this turned out to be OK as ity was very dry (except the river crossings) and probably helped on the road on the way back. kept overtaking a shuoc on the river crossings and the downhills and she would overtake me on the up hills. possibly got a PB, which is good seeing as i wasn;t expecting or trying for one. and looks like cari cut minutes off her PB from last year.

running 6:00 [3] 0.9 km (6:40 / km)

2 laps of the trunce field to warm up.
