orienteering 2:00:00 [5] 9.5 km (12:38 / km) +250m 11:10 / km

M40L course at Big Moor. predicted it would take 2 hours, and it did! had trouble on one of the controls in the first rocky section, then fairly clean around the moor and back through the wooded section, then struggled again on coming back onto the moor, then a relatively good last few i think. fuund the whole course either tricky technically or underfoot - was very worried about my ankle in the tussocks, but survived OK.

Brown middle distance course at Beeley. good first part of the race, then started overshoot the controls a bit and received a fair bit of help from another runner. given it seemed a good run overall, was depressingly close to the bottom. actual distance ran 5.05k; 9:24min/k

orienteering 35:28 [3] 4.64 km (7:39 / km)

Night orienteering from the pearson centre on really cool new map going up to weston park and including weston park hospital and hallamshire hospital. as expected there were some tricky routes to work out, and long routes - ran more than 2k more than the advertised distance. i accidentally missed out one control on the longest leg, realised but didn't bother going back for it, so i am disqualifying myself.
