 | Orienteering race 15:57 [4]*** 1.8 km (8:52 / km) | |
| spiked:5/6c |
| Pre-billygoat sprint #1 at Pond Mt. Clean run, but that's as fast as I go. |
 | Orienteering race 17:39 [4]*** 1.9 km (9:17 / km) | |
| spiked:4/5c slept:7.0 |
| Pre-billygoat sprint # 2 at Pond mt. Left it all out on the first one- a lot of trouble getting up the hills. Bobbled #2, down one line too low. Otherwise good navigation. |
 | Orienteering 20:00 [2] | |
| |
| Control pickup after the sprints. |

| Sprint #1 (Yellow) - Splits |

| The moral equivalent of boot camp, I guess. Rhonda set a circuit of exercises in the gym for her 6am crowd. I've been laying off yoga because my wrist can't take down dogs and the like, so I tried this. |
 | Running (trail run) 30:00 [3]2.7 mi (11:06 / mi) | |
| |
| Art Sweeton loop with our neighbor Kathleen, after "boot camp". |
Wednesday May 10 |
 | Running 45:00 [3]4.6 mi (9:47 / mi) | |

| Bunker Hill/Hanson route. Time is an estimate, as Rhonda commandeered my watch after breaking hers. Not much is sacred around here. Achy knee, general sluggishness. Allergies have me quite lethargic last few days. |

| Took the train to Phila and back. Long day, with the drive to New Haven and pretty intensive meetings in Philadelphia from 10:30 to 5. Getting too old for stuff like this. |
Sunday May 7 |
 | Orienteering race 1:27:11 [4]*** 5.9 km (14:47 / km) | |
| |
| WP Day 2 Green course. Had some big problems finding #8 and #13, so kind of frustrating. Otherwise ok. Physically, had a hard time going uphill through blueberries. Need to get stronger. |
 | Note | |

| Golf with Tom and Katie Noonan at Simsbury Farms. Usual mixture of exhilaration and frustration (kind of like orienteering), but notable for a first. First time reaching a par 5 in 2 (Simsbury Farms #14). Then eagle putt hit back of hole and popped up in the air, settling on the lip, so the first eagle will have to wait, perhaps a really long time. |
