Orienteering race 1:13:27 [4]
Red course at Ansonia Nature Center. Went well for a bit but I got really tired. Only two errors, but they were clunkers. Nice to be out and about.
Orienteering race 51:54 [3]*** 2.9 km (17:54 / km)
spiked:12/13c weight:167lbs
"Short" course at Ansonia Nature Center. Many of the same controls as the Red course had been, but in a different order. It would have been smarter to pass on this, but smart is elusive. Started ok, but fell hard between 6 and 7, and then lost all energy and mostly walked from there. No navigational problems, but could barely finish. Scrounged a gu from my pack when I got back to the car to keep from just losing it altogether. Pretty tired and sore now, but not bad considering a week ago I couldn't walk.

Red - Splits

Thursday Nov 23

Rowing Machine 17:26 [3]4 km (4:22 / km)
2 x 2K with a 5 minute rest. No problems. Feeling greatly recovered, if a bit weak. 2:12 pace on first one, 2:09 on second. Can do better, but no rush

Monday Nov 20

Rowing Machine 8:58 [3]2 km (4:29 / km)
Very easy short row to see how the back felt. One twinge about 5 minutes in, but backed off a bit and it was ok. Interesting that my right knee was more limber than usual. The big layoff, or is it 12 Advil a day?
