Up Sandy Brook, almost all the way to the top, but feeling a bit short on time, and a little sore in the quad, I headed down from Phelps Flat. Saw Cindy and Lindsay, chatted them up for a minute. Heading down, my leg felt much better, and the only thing really bothering me is the left elbow, and because that is weak, I seem to lift my left shoulder, and end up with a lot of tension in my upper back and trapezius on that side.
A two snake day, so far. Saw a garter snake on the trail when we were walking the dog this morning and a milk snake making the really dubious choice to cross route 8 while I was riding.
Later, saw a hen turkey and her poults crossing the trail ahead of me when I was mowing. Lucky Sassy wasn't there. She finds poults way too interesting.

Middle distance, Boggs Mtn. Actually pretty good. No huge errors, but several bobbles, one bad route, and one 3 minute overrun, trying for a safer route, when just going straight would have been fine, and safe wasn't as safe as it looked.
A beautiful day, and fine courses.
Generally satisfactory family outing, as Rhonda finished the yellow and Kathy, Chris and the girls the white at about the same time I did.
