Nice ride, up 181 to 20 and meeting Rhonda in Pleasant Valley, where she was walking. Also a brief encounter with our friend Cindy, who can almost always be found cycling around there. Fresh legs made this not too difficult, and no particular ill effects on the injured adductor. Just a little tired in the low back the last mile or two.

working out with Eric. Did some partly supported squats today, which went quite well, and some upper body band work. Felt pretty good after.

piggy-backed on a bit of a workout Rhonda and Lindsay were doing. Did several sets of pull-downs, with very slow release, and a set of glute ham raises, also slow. Nice.

Family hike at Peoples SF with Rhonda, Zack, Sassy, Heike and Jutta. Just meandering, heading up to where we could look out over the cliffs at the Farmington River. Very nice day.

Just a test, jogging back from the bridge by the Big Down Marsh, seeing how it felt, which was pretty good. Very short stride to protect the adductor. Startled a fairly sizable deer on the way, off to my left in the saplings in the 10-year old clear-cut.

working out with Eric, stretching and core. Getting frustrating, as I don't seem to make much progress anymore.

Also, weight creeping up under the influence of German cooking. Heike and Jutta are active in the kitchen!

Fresh bread every day, desserts, tonight we had wienerschnitzel and spatzle. Tough on the g.

With Rhonda, Sassy and our German friends Heike and Jutta, on a loop we do from time to time, down through the Cannon property that belongs to the town and back up the old stage road to the Big Down Marsha and home again.

Walking more or less comfortably, but occasional twinges along the adductor remind me of how fragile the situation is.
