Jess had her baby boy yesterday, all doing fine. Rhonda is at the hospital hanging out with her, Zack and I will go down and visit on Saturday.
Cooper Nelson Right is the young man's name. Our 4th grandchild, but first grandson.

Stretching and core in the gym with Eric. The good news is that I feel about 75% better from the spasms of the last week. I think the combination of aggressive use of the lacrosse ball and sessions in the hot tub have released some of the worst of it. So keep it up.
Another setback today. Got woken up around 230 by a hard spasm in the left low back and quite limited the rest of the day. Rolling on the lacrosse ball helps.
Still pretty tied up. A lot of rolling and stretching. Tried the hospital loop, but found it pretty strenuous. In general maybe a bit better than the last few days, but can't do much. Sitting is particularly hard.
Still struggling today, not able to stand straight. Did a so-called hospital loop with R, Z and S, but only at about half my customary walking speed. More rolling and stretching.
Stood around outside for a while watching Zack cut down some small oak trees to get logs to seed for growing shiitake mushrooms. The general plan is to drill them and inoculate them next Sunday. We ended up with 36 logs, roughly 4" diameter, 40" long. Standing around got kind of uncomfortable, so off to the hot tub for a bit to try to ease things up.
Better than yesterday, but still quite limited. Lots of rolling and stretching. Best activity was banded clamshells. Can't quite stand straight yet. Maybe tomorrow.

cycling (Spinning bike) 20:30 [1] 4.0 mi (5:08 / mi)
Woke up with a sorer than usual back, which seized up within the hour, so just rolling, stretching, laying on the floor, etc. The problem is on the left this time.
