With Tullio, on the Tunxis Trail from Hillcrest north, past the Indian Council Rocks for a bit, and then back again. Really struggling with my back these days.

Today's conversation was more participitatory on my part, discussing the various kinds of trees, the stone walls, ponds along the way, old foundations, that sort of thing. More or less 100% in Italian, so quite good exercise.

With Tullio in McLean Game Refuge. A very wide ranging conversation, more or less 90% Tullio talking and me striving to understand. Striving enough that I took a wrong turn and was very surprised to find out where we were.

West of Lake McDonough from 219 to Goose Green Rd and back with my friend Tullio, Francesca's father, here visiting her for a few weeks and staying at her new house, and with Elaine, Francesca's mother-in-law. Both of them are very good hikers.

Quite a fine day. Tullio is in training to do a long hike in Spain in October, 800K in 30 days on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

In the gym with Eric. Seemed like we got more things in today. Usual stretching, then deadlifts, then rounds of BOSU pushups and one-leg get ups from the bench, and then another double set of one leg TRX rowing and GH raises, finally some planks and press ups and ball stretching.
