Note
slept:8.0 weight:165lbs

Out with Rhonda and Sassy checking out control sites, evaluating the amount of necessary wrangling.
1 PM

Note

Putting up mushroom logs with Rhonda, Francesca, Jeff and Jeff’s mom Elaine. Always a lot more work than it would appear. Didn’t make it all the way through the bag of inoculated plugs, but got about 30 or so logs, and that seems to be enough.

At the lake with the dog and Rhonda. The dog is still doing pretty great on these walks, but increasingly is a bit lame when she gets up and walks around the house, having a little difficulty going up and down stairs.

Gym 40:00 [3]
slept:6.0 weight:164.6lbs

Part of Rhonda's morning class. She is only doing about the first 40 minutes of it, and that is plenty for me, too. I get too antsy for a whole hour.
2 PM

Hike 55:50 intensity: (1:59 @0) + (49:55 @1) + (1:35 @2) + (2:21 @3) 2.83 mi (19:44 / mi) +84m 18:04 / mi

More or less our usual lake walk, with a little side trip on an old skid trail, that kind of disappeared. Didn't have to pay much attention, though, as we were right between the main road and the lake. I would branch out more, but Rhonda is quite a creature of habit. Until she develops a new one
3 PM

Gym 30:00 [3]

Some deadlifts, 6x10 working up to 95#, some goblet squats to the bench, working up to 30#, some 1 leg squats to the bench, some band work on arms and legs. Easing into it, as my R leg, hip and glute have been giving me a lot of trouble lately. But this was fine.

Hike 1:14:54 intensity: (16 @0) + (37:55 @1) + (26:23 @2) + (10:20 @3) 4.33 mi (17:18 / mi) +101m 16:08 / mi
ahr:108 max:125 slept:7.0 weight:163.4lbs

R&S at the lake. Went a bit past the barrier to see the log piles. Still all piled up. Not sure at all why they don't take them out.
9 AM

Note

Brush mowed the top of the smaller clearcut, and finished up just as it started to spit. Good, as that kept me from pushing on to clean up the edges of some of the trails. By the time I got back to the barn I was pretty tired of mowing and glad not to be further away. Plus I wasn't all that sure whether I might run out of gas if I were out any longer. Having to hike back to get a gas can didn't seem very appealing. Just right.

ahr:107 max:155 slept:6.0 weight:163.8lbs

Note

Laurel wrangling. This was quite a bit more than I expected, a good 2 and a half hours, lots of lopping, then cleaning up with the chipper.
2 PM

cycling (Light blue bike) 43:47 intensity: (36 @0) + (5:04 @1) + (31:06 @2) + (6:54 @3) + (7 @4) 8.67 mi (5:03 / mi) +43m 4:58 / mi
ahr:119 max:146

With Rhonda, first time in a while. Got a little bit later start than we thought, and it was starting to cool off the last few miles.
