Around Central Park. Turns out that the sorest part from yesterday’s misadventure was a somewhat strained right adductor. Walking helped though. That and some vigorous rolling. Forehead is kind of sore. Knee and shoulder are fine.

Note

I was out anyway and thought I would do a little track work. Didn’t get far. I was in the outside lane, tried to navigate around a gaggle of kids and caught my toe on the foot of a hurdle facing sideways against the fence. Fell hard enough that the workout was over. Three scrapes, R knee, left shoulder, forehead. They’ll heal.

Huntington State Park Brown. Had sort of planned to go with Bill, but I was feeling pretty stiff and sore, and he felt a cold coming on so we agreed to pass. I spent some time in the hot tub instead. Eventually it rolled around to 10:30 or so, and it wasn't raining too hard and my leg was feeling a little better, so off I went. Probably the last to go out. Thought I would do the 4.7 green, but then I saw the times that people were turning in on the brown and did that instead. Pretty wet out. I had a contact lens in but wasn't seeing the map all that well, even at 1:7500. Anyway, the first several were pretty good, and I was feeling pretty good. Had a little trouble with 7, because the first marsh was so much bigger that I thought I was already at the second one, couldn't make things line up. Then I decided to skip the trail route to 8 and blunder on through the woods, just for fun. That went well for a while, but I couldn't quite make sense of all the trails in the latter part so lost some time there. Lost some time also on 9. Should have gotten out of their quickly and then went on trails, but tried to find my way through on the little trails, went in circles for a while.

Fun course. Thanks, to Susie and Rick. Nice visit with Tony M, and also with George n Lyn, Jim H and Earl.

With Rhonda. L ITB and glute are very tight, causing pain all the way up in the back. I will try to work it out today.
