Gym 1:00:00 [3]
slept:5.0 weight:164.8lbs

in the gym with Eric. Stretching, squats, pushups, hamstring curls on the ball, etc. Tried some one arm rowing and one arm band work, but it was pretty stressful on the L elbow, the dreaded medial epicondylitis or golfer's elbow. I'm pretty sure I got this from pole sawing hemlock branches last week, and maybe it will go away if I quit irritating it. Which I have officially done this morning, stopping the offending exercises as soon as they stressed the elbow. So I'll be on a program of stretching my forearm, self-massage and icing.
2 PM

Running 1:06:17 intensity: (2:41 @2) + (27:47 @3) + (9:25 @4) + (26:24 @5) 5.13 mi (12:55 / mi) +132m 11:58 / mi
ahr:152 max:183 shoes: 2021 Navy Gel Kayanos

Haven’t run here since November, and I’ve been meaning to try it out. It was hard. Legs just seemed weak, which is not all that surprising, given how little I run these days. But generally not too bad in the hip. Is that improvement from the injections yesterday? Not dramatic enough to be sure, but certainly better. Than average.

I thought this would be two loops, but the painters showed up and had some questions and that was that.

Hike 1:04:49 intensity: (44:43 @1) + (9:55 @2) + (8:17 @3) + (1:54 @4) 3.27 mi (19:49 / mi) +86m 18:19 / mi

With Rhonda at the lake. Mountain laurel in bloom. Not yet at our place.
11 AM

Note

Went to see the guys who do piriformis injections, got a shot of prednisolone at the tendon insertion on each side. It’s supposed to take a few days to be effective. If it is.
3 PM

Note

Since the mountain laurel is not yet in bloom, I chopped a bunch down with a clear conscience.
5 PM

Yoga 16:00 [3]

About 3/4 of my routine, until I got a phone call
