Day 1 M-75, 2.9k, fast and open. A pretty good run for me, with the only exception number 5, where I misread the map and navigated to a cliff one line up from the correct one, and didn’t scope out that I was looking for the wrong cliff until after I had finished.

Note

Birding tour in the mudflats, rice fields, old salt pans and some cork forest across the Estuary from Lisbon on the Vasco da Gama bridge. Very knowledgeable and engaging guide Bernardo. Saw many beautiful shorebirds, warblers, raptors. Big rafts of avocets and flamingos. Se real kinds of godwits, egrets, herons, redshanks, lots of sandpipers, plovers, so many others. Quite a fine time.

About an hour of general laurel wrangling. Rhonda took the dog out walking and met me. Luna can be quite timid and hung back until she was really sure I was somebody she knew, then she ran around me in circles at high speed for quite a while. Crazy beast.
