shoes: Salomon Wings

Felt weak and unmotivated to run so I went slowly around reading the forest. I will not have the strength to run hard in these forests in the relay, but will do my best!

Decent race - very technical terrain slowed everyone down. a good result in 32nd place. Best position for RSA, but time against winner is not the best. Could probably have run fatser in the dry. Probably lost 2 mintues due to cold which was sitting in my lungs and my nose. Felt quite weak.

WOC Sprint Quali. I ran my heart out and did not stop at controls to punch (i.e. I ran in and out barely sticking the SI stick in the hole. It worked and I am very happy with my time, but I was still only second last in my heat. It doesn't matter but the future of Sprint O in RSA lies with anybody who can run at 3:00min/km. Good run and happy. Wish I hadn't picked up that cold during training! Probably good have been 90sec faster.

Pre race warm up getting used to map and running at speed. Very useful.
