Gone to NZ for the big ride from north to south.
3,000+kms and the little matter of 44,500m of climb.
My recent inactivity wasn't a taper but the result of getting tooth problems sorted and my normal last minute'itis. Put on some unneeded weight.
Will probably take me a week to sort out my packing in the mornings.

Quite cold on descent. Still feeling poorly which is a worry.
NS - Tregarthon rd = 1.86km= 8.55 mins (must time the other way)
Just found out today that the total ascent in NZ is 44,500 metres!
Ride along Torrens on new Continental raceking tyres - really gd on the concrete, hope ok offroad. My extra additions to handlebars - bottle holder, garmin holder, normal computer had to be reversed afterwards.
Now I notice my saddle is looking old...
