lawn mowing 40:00 [3]

Just the weeds mainly.

Meant to do a long ride but sick as all day - headache, sore glands, lethargic to the max. In bed "til 11am

Road Cycling 6:08:00 [3] 130.0 km (2:50 / km) +1260m 2:42 / km

Ride with Michelle, with both of us starting tired due to nights of little sleep.
My choice - doing a ride that I've been aiming to do for awhile which goes to Gawler and gets me a free "seniors" train ride back to the city..
Home - up Gorge rd - across via Tippet rd to Kersbrook and onto Williamstown (43kms) and onto Lyndoch (50kms)
Many trees had come down in recent storm and were lying cut at roadside.
Then on bikepath onto Tanunda, having to dodge / ride over much tree debris and even walk around trees on path. The short sharp hills near Rowland Flat were 12% - I was pleased with how I rode these after being slower than M up the Gorge.

Onto Seppeltsfield Mausoleum & winery via Smyth & Stone..... rds with a brief stop to look at their lovely dining set-upi n old buildings. Back the same way initially but took a chance heading on a rd to Lehmnann winery that was freshly bitumen. Nice loop. 10 kms out and about 12kms back.

Stopped on north side of Tanunda at Tanunda bakery for lunch - it was awesome. Huge line up of customers but plentiful staff so got served quickly with a turkey & cranberry roll. Even got offered a free donut (I declined) which they offer to cyclists who buy a roll / sandwich - nice idea.

Then back onto biketrack to Lyndoch and continued on this back to Gawler, with M having not done this section before. Got to the end of the line train station at Gawler and just managed to get on by seconds before it left. Accompanied by many typical northern suburbs oddities on the 50minute train trip to Adelaide. Then rode the 13kms home via back streets and M's place in 38 mins.

Legs fairly tired atm - not too hilly but plenty of time in the saddle.

mt bike 2:50:00 [3] 35.0 km (4:51 / km)

Didn't go to Bal group ride because thought storm was due to hit.
Although Adelaide had dark blue radar over it most of the day there was only an occasional shower. I felt unwell and read and watched cricket most of the day.
Finally went out on mtb at 5pm and wandered over to Anstey Hill where I did just the one climb and several new trails. Posts and mapboard holders are in - waiting for Parliamentary change of park status to allow mtbers in officially. Did one downhill track with about 400 spectators standing about 5 metres away - kangaroos! Just had to watch for the few who decided to jump from side to side.

felt bad most of the way - had to stop n some uphills as was dizzy. Also was sweating heaps. Had to escort a family out who had got lost and were at the furtherest possible place from their car
