walk 1:40:00 [3]

This was my pathetic attempt to train for Flinders is walks and to sort out footwear. Actually 3 seperate walks near home trying out 3 different lots of shoes.
First walk = blister on L heel within 5 mins.
2nd walk = blister on R bunion in 10 mins
3rd walk = plaster came off heel so drew much blood.
Augurs well for 4-6hr daily walks! Though I don't start until feb 24 so will do more walking whilst over there. (This walking may well send me straight to knee surgeon)

Packing for all sorts of weather - snow included...walk, mtb, bike touring, maybe kayak, camping, mtbo camp & then mtbo races...
Late decison making involved on trip isnt a sensible thing....
Still havent sorted out my gps probs...

Road Cycling 5:00:00 [3] 86.0 km (3:29 / km) +1361m 3:14 / km

Finally got out for a ride.
Left home just after 7am (almost cold) to ride with a group from Scenic Hotel at 8am...Gully headwinds all the way up Norton & I arrived at 8.08 and they had gone. (didn't know I was coming though) There were literally hundreds of riders on Norton.
So I moved on towards Mt Lofty but had to detour towards Marble Hill as rd straight to Basket Range was shut. Many riders again at Lofty plus about 50 walkers (boot camp types). Could well have turned around here but it was less than 25kms.

Descended to Crafers - up towards Piccadily - back onto old Mt Barker rd to Hahndorf, then across to Mylor where I met some friends and had a stop.
up Aldgate valley - Stirling - Crafers - Uraidla - Summertown - Basket Range - Marble Hill - down Montacute and home. Nice circuit. Over 30 degrees when I finished.
