walk 1:00:00 [3]

Probably last decent walk for awhile - predictably knee was sore.
Just around the burbs

Frustrating day
- surgeon - blood clinic - hospital - ECG - anaesthetist - GP
have to see the haemotolgist tomo as none of the above are confident in deciding my medications for the next few weeks ...

Managed to reduce my bathroom cabinets by 50% of their stuff and tidied the kitchen cupboards with some items destined for Vinnies.
I think I had 60 water bottles ...
Still fighting the paper war in the study

lawn mowing 15:00 [3]

Mowing around fruit trees and out the front, after neighbour kindly pulled the starter motor cord, as R shoulder not good enough to do.
In return I have lent neighbour my bike trainer for her achilles recovery, until i need it.
I also have arranged to use the pool of no 72 for rehab ...as long as weather is warmish

mt bike 3:28:00 [3] 57.0 km (3:39 / km) +128m 3:37 / km

Drove to Salisbury to join a group ride but I was 5 mins late and they had gone who knows where. So did my own thing.....south on Little Para trails to Mawson Lakes and around there and then out N on the newly bitumised track on W side of Parafield Gardens airfield and return to M Lakes. Back over train line and then S on the offshoot of the wetlands trail on mt bike trails to the Railways depot.

Out on rd to the A13 and i found a big Bike sign pointing south so followed it...initially on a newly bitumised trail next to the trainline (also with dirt option) at Dry Creek and getting spat out on the industrial area of Cormack rd, Wingfield...still with big bike signs which I followed W to the South Rd overpass...then signs there offered Pt Adelaide & city. I retraced my steps and kept following the signs N and came out in the Wetlands and the Watershed cafe at 665 salisbury Highway.

Needed fluids as it was now quite warm again - also decided on a late brecki of a Spanish omellette - lovely.
It's a function centre too, so lots of seating but I'm always amazed by the number of small staff meetings and couples dining here at any time of the day.

Straight back direct via little Para trails - 14 km from there.
Always fun to find a new track - also saw trotters training, carriage horse training and the bird life was quite loud at the wetlands, despite little water.

Road Cycling 4:38:00 [3] 85.0 km (3:16 / km) +1213m 3:03 / km

had a bad night but still managed to join Liz in a hills ride.
She went up via Crafers bikepath while I went up Norton Summit and we met at Greenhill rd- Summertown - uraidla - Carey Gully - then down on Gum Flat & Beaumont rds to near verdun - Hahndorf - Mylor - Aldgate Valley rd - Stirling - Crafers - Piccadilly - Uraidla - Summertown - Woods Hill Rd - Norton Summit - Athelstone - home.

Liz had been in NZ walking and died a bit on 2nd half so the climb up to Stirling was more gentle than normal.

mt bike 2:40:00 [3] 44.0 km (3:38 / km) +360m 3:30 / km

It was 31 degrees by the time i git going so decided on a cruisey bikepath ride. Over to par 3 golf course on Grand Junction rd and then up the creek eastward on bikepaths to Wynn Vale Dam, passing signs for park run just before it. Did a couple of laps and then continued on up the creek to Fairview Park where i dropped into the PS hoping to find a water tap, as my mouth was getting bone dry in 5 mins without water.

I had been checking all the playgrounds along the way but none had taps - inconvenient for Mums with toddlers I imagine, In contrast to Mynamar where they had big 5 / 10 litre containers of water everywhere (plus cup) for free, though perhaps not too hygienic. Did a loop along Seaview rd and back to Golden Grove oval where i found a tap - filled water bottle and drenched myself. Back to Wynn Vale Dam and back a similiar way. About 37 degrees when i finished - not too bad while i was moving but felt heat when i stopped.

mt bike 2:45:00 [3] 30.0 km (5:30 / km)

Slow ride around the Athelstone burbs course setting for mtbo in May.
Was quite warm.

Also has about 20 mins giving a koala a drink & having it jump onto my arm and then shoulder in search of the water bottle. Magical moment, but I can attest they have very big, sharp claws. I gave him all my water and then had to houseknock to refill - annoying that most council reserves & playgds have no water fountains.
