Lovely dirt ride despite knee being very shitty.
Meant to meet up with 2 people to ride about 24kms of the proposed bike route of the Kidman trail. But google was wrong on the time it took, so i told the others to start without me. They were doing a car shuttle, so I did meet them about half way. I always intended to do at least 50kms so it didnt worry me, as it was a nice day weather wise, though a little windy.
Started at Manoora (2 hrs from home in mid north) - out to Waterloo (birthplace of Tom Kruse) - then into the sticks - up Quins Gap (this range has the 43 Waterloo wind turbines)...down & up Webb Gap (site of Bushland heritage area ...which was started by Robert Hannaford (artist whose kids I taught at MHS) ...the a longish route up to Inspiration point (which overlooks the town of Robertstown) - steep descent and then quite a gentle climb up Stockroute & Brady Rds back to the Webb Gap rd.
return had the 2 big climbs again (webb Gap that side was 24% walk) but i went slightly different rds, missed Waterloo and took in Carlsruhe Manse & church on way back to Manoora.
