2km warm up then 45 minutes, shuttle runs and short sprints in the soft sand. Very buggered at the finish.

Not speedo so will need to google earth the distance! Sunday ride with steve from his place up east cam to elphistone quarry near ridgley back down west moorville road, across three mile line, down the round burnie track and back to steves. Good ride was humerous to watch steve fall off 3 times as he gets use to the clip ins. Starting to feel stronger and felt better as the ride wore on. Intend to start at the quarry and follow the road through to see wher it finishes on the next outing.

Paddle 1:27:00 [3]

Felt like something different so headed down to Boat Harbour and headed of on a run to Sisters Beach, first section was plenty of rock hoping then onto the paddock, markers are pretty well overgrown so some took a bit of finding, the section of track that leads to the postmans track is hard to locate but found it and followed to postmmans then onto the sisters beach road and back over to boat harbour. The swim at the end was magic.

Started training with the surf club boys doing starts of the beach, then headed up the river and did a ladder to 100 during the lap. Main concentration was on being steady and moving the paddle through the water as quickly as possible. pleant y of sweat about!

Morning ride with steve. Headed from steves at somerset to ulverstone into a strong NE head wind, missed the rain until south road where it pissed down took shelter under some willows for 5 minutes then continued on. Dropped steve at penguin athletics and headed home with nice tail wind.

Morning paddle with AB, very messy out with the occassional good swell. Had a play one lap of the cam then back for some more. Water temperature is very nice still.

PT session mainly focused on strength based exercises, boxing, bumping dragging, solid session and felt more at home with this style of exercise which made it enjoyable.

Swimming and running with the juniors at training, did a couple of "can" swims, enjoyable evening.

MTB 1:10:00 [3] 20.0 km (3:30 / km) +166m 3:22 / km

MTB form west park to fern glade via burnie track then 1 lap fern glade and return to park. Got to practice hike a bike as plenty of trees down around fern glade - not really worth trying to ride this area at the minute. Again it was nice and humid. Good ride.

Morning paddle with steve. Did one lap of the Cam at good pace then back out to play in the waves. Great little swell had an absolute ball and went overtime cause i didnt want to leave! Only the two of us on the water in such great conditions - got to love tassie!!

The sessions seem to be getting harder! Boxing, lunge, pull ups, holding of body weight and f#$king burpees. I was knackered at the finish.

Monday Feb 8, 2010 #

Run 50:00 [3] 8.5 km (5:53 / km)

Run in very warm conditions, from hellyer college up to hockey centre, through acton and back to hellyer via the old tip. Struggled and legs felt very heavy.

Saturday Feb 6, 2010 #

Bike 2:58:00 [3] 76.0 km (2:21 / km) +546m 2:16 / km

Ride with AB, left Burnie Park into slight headwind but not too bad - caught a magnificent sunrise on the way over and picked up AB near Penguin surf club then back to howth roundabout, nine mile ride, camena, riana, west pine, howth and back to park. Great day for a ride and feeing stronger, hills are still slow but recover time is getting better.

Spent the rest of the day at the surf club setting up for the carnival then countless laps up and down the beach. Was buggered by the time I hit the sac!

PT training session. Plyometrics, boxing push ups and many other ab exercises. This session has been hardest of the 3 so far and very tender around the stomach region - certainly found my weak spot then proceeded to enjoy making me hurt as much as possible. Great hit out and really enjoying the challenge.

Swim 1:00:00 [3]

spent the evening in some big (powerful) surf swimming, body surfing and practicing entry and exit into the surf. Waves had a some power to them so was reasonably hard work. Too big and messy for me to try the ski!

MTB 45:00 [3]

No computer so no distance recorded. Had intened a longer ride from burnie park but got ready to go then realized i had forgot my helmet - dick head. So drove home and went over the back and did some hill reps. Legs were sore also bit of the cbfs happening but manged to get 45 minutes out before they took over completely

PT session durning lunch hour. Boxing, pushups, sit ups, kettle swings and ab rolls all varying exercises at high intensity also had contact exercise where you we required to push the trainer backwards - that was quite fun. Good session again - more new exercises learnt.

Monday Feb 1, 2010 #

Bike 25:00 [4] 8.0 km (3:08 / km) +92m 2:57 / km

Road bike from surf club up back cam road to the first intersection on hoares lane. Tough little climb and worked hard as possible.

Run hills 21:00 [4] 2.5 km (8:24 / km) +100m 7:00 / km

Off the bike and did 5 x 250m hill efforts from the creek at the bottom to the intersection onto hoares lane. Google says 21m rise of the distance but my legs said it felt like much more!!!. Did not have my watch to time efforts but probably 2.30 minutes effort 1.30 minute jog back down.

Bike 25:00 [3] 10.0 km (2:30 / km)

Back onto the bike and up hoares lane to the murchsion highway then cruised back down to the surf club.
