Paddle 2:30:00 [3] 10.0 km (15:00 / km)

Practice paddle on the forth in the mighty kayak. Great solid hit out Few gentle Rapids but great to practice in steering. Paddling gently down river and found another raft complete with pump and paddles, looked liked it had been there a while so we have found a new home for it.

Dropped Nick off at work and headed over to dial for MTB ride. From golf club to Duncan via Gnomen 4wd track then down dial road to Leven, along tram track back up behind Duncan and return. Only 31km but over 1200m climbing made for a very solid hit out.

Set another couple of markers, for MTB rogainne on foot this time. Logging operations meant I have to rethink the last two ran out of time as had to collect nick. Enough out to make good little outing now

Play in the forth river with AB getting used to raft paddling. Great fun and good learning session. Need to get one a week in now.

Afternoon setting MTB rogainne at Oldina. Good Nav practice - will be interesting to see if AB confirms they are in right place when he rides the course. Have a couple more to set during the week. Note- wore glasses full time for first time.

Evening MTB cruise with Moldy out to Emu River and return. Jo moved very well and hung on at 25kmh into head wind on the way back, got up to 27 before she let go.

Evening Cam Valley Ride. Cam boat ramp to cat quarry and back via the road. Much more even effort tonight, felt lots better on the bike still a bit to go but improvement on last effort.

Big day out - Paddle lake Macintosh to the Vale River 12km to start trek to Reynolds Falls, Very Still morning and eerie paddling in among the trees - many about due to low water level.

Trek 8:00:00 [3] 20.0 km (24:00 / km) +756m 20:11 / km

Return to the Vale River Trek, noticed a lot more this time, shit loads of river crossings, couple of falls, couple of swims - still cold, found some long lost trekking poles seen Reynolds Falls properly and seen a couple of snakes. We did a great job during the world champs in 2011 to get through that given the 40 odd km we had done prior to this.

Interesting paddle back from the Vale River, wind picked up, rain come in and generally made for an unenjoyable return journey but great GZ practice.

A Muppet effort in the cam valley riding hills and hiker biking. Very average performance culminating in a fall when I could not get unclipped. Knee a little sore now...... Ah we'll can only get better.

Freddy is back for February - set of Freddy fox circuit 8 each today, 9 tomorrow , then 10 and so on until end of February. Also added in burpees and push ups. Started with 1 chin up...

Paddle on the Inglis from yacht club got 5.5km up river before having to turn around which is about 600m past the road bridge. Bit windy on the way back, seen the Norton boys doing some k1 training - didn't join in though, looked a bit fast.

Weekly Gomery visit, busy tomorrow so midday session today. Felt better than last couple of times and went a bit further. Normal 4 then 5th same as 3rd but back down southern track, had enough left to shuffle back to the car. Warm out today, got through 3 drink bottles and 2 x gel bottles.

Evening paddle on Cam and out to sea on a cracker of an evening. Still getting the distance back so nothing special but feeling better on each outing. Water in River like a bath, lots of craft traffic.
