On the roadie with the morning bunch - 6 up today, only second ride back so was a bit edgy in the pack. Rode from burnie park to wynyard yacht club and return at good pace. Was starting to hurt on return journey so when it was my turn on the front decided to give all i had with the intention of cruising back to the park, so up the incline before cloverlea pushed as hard as i could and was happy to see the group split, tacked onto the other two that went past and held it until the caravan place where we eased up and waited for the others. Had a much more sedate ride home which was lucky cause i was gone. Very good work out and was good to be pushed most of the way.

Hill interval session up the zig zag track. 1 minute effort with 2 minute rest period which includes the run back down. Did eight today, first 6 not to bad 7 and 8 were a struggle - especially 8. Run back was a killer - legs sore from last night. Forgot chins - probably on purpose.

played 3s , lot of short sharp running, shit game, poor standard and crap decision making lost 4-3. Dont know why i bother?

Started at the Lawn Cemetry and ran on the trails behind East Cam. Followed the track around the river then in land for a while. Took a left on a motor bike track that took me to the top of a good climb, folowed a ridgeline track for short distance under some power lines then down a very steep decent to ??? creek. Time was short so i headed back via some other bike tracks. Man there are ome hills out there! Logging has started on some of the MTB tracks close to mum and dads. Great outing rain, mud and hills what more could you want.

morning ride from burnie park to stowport via fern glade, back home via wivenhoe. good to be back out of a morning, had my quickest trip up fernglade in a while all in all good morning hit out.

Hill efforts. From surf club ran around the river track until pellisier st, then did 7 x 200m hill efforts 1m with 2 m recovery. Elevation of 22m over the 200m effort. Felt better this week - chin ups are still very poor

Run hills 55:00 [4] 6.5 mi (8:28 / mi)

Hill efforts with AB. Left surf club and ran along the beach and up to WSPS, then onto Zig Zag track. Did 7 x 1m efforts. Distance of track is about 140m long elevation is 20m. First 2 covered best distance, number 7 just made the top of the track before 1m mark. Ran back to surf club. manged 5 and 4 chins before run and 2 and 3 after - much work to do in this area!

Had time for a quick run whilst nick had soccer training at Somerset. Did some hill efforts, trying to focus on a consistent tempo from bottom to top.
Left the somerset soccer ground and ran down to the murchison highway. 1st effort was from highway to fire station with recovery from fire station to post office, 2nd effort was the reverse. Highway to fire station x 2 was 3.14 and 3.22 (distance = 600m elevation = 32m), post office to fire station was 2.12 and 2.16 (distance = 500m, elevation = 31m). Nice evening to run.

Morning hill session with AB. Ran up east cam found a nice hill and did 6 x 1 minute efforts with 2 minute? rest . Best distance was on effort 3. Efforts 4 + 5 felt like shit and 6 just hurt. Run back to surf club was a struggle! AB has challenge where you need to do front grip and reverse grip chin ups to match the amount of hill efforts done. In todays case it was 6 - I managed 4 each way. Good solid session. Additional note - distance to effort area = 2.75km. Elevation was about 15m over 200m (for me)

Walk 40:00 [3]

Went to Ulverstone with the family and did the pathfinders rogaine which was great fun. Nick and Jo had the map - couldnt talk camo into having a go. Looking forward to the next one, good outing.

Run 45:00 [4] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)

Collected a couple of the markers from the rogaine with AB then ran back to Turners Beach with AB. Noticable difference in our cruising paces - mine is obviously slower - so was dragged along at a bit higher tempo than normal which is whats needed. Flat run but felt like you needed to do some work to get along. Not feeling 100% - hopefully I can skirt around the outside of the bug thats floored Jo and kids!

Early saturday ride with Damien. Wanted to do hills so left burnie park head up through fernglade onto natone, done through camena along to cuprona back onto bass highway up minna road to stowport and back to the park via fern glade. Great ride on cool morning. Minna RD probably the hardest climb I have done around 1km long and on pedals the all the way. Worked on eating again and did ok (for record 1 x gel + 2 x banana). Spent the afternoon digging trenches and fitting pipe at home so buggered and didnt make start of tour!

Training with u/18s good was good fun run around, followed by short walk to fill in time before i played 3s. Played game which was very open and meant lots of up and down the field running, scraped through 1-0 against the top team - seems there is a new one each week!
