Night run from Gutridge Gardens around the river track and return. Sufferring a bit from flu but great run, took a while to get used to the head torch but all good in the end. Shoes feel good now run in.

Note

Did not listen to my body and rest!! so woke up feeling about as shitty as it gets. Laid on the couch and dozed, moved to the spare room and dozed, sat outside and dozed. Finally managed half hour walk with Jo late afternoon and finished with the day by lighting the fire pot, cooking tea on the bbq by head torch and sipping a glass of red, while watching the sunset on a magnificent evening. Suddenly all was good!

15 minute warm up run before hand, then a very solid "abs" session with KAW, hurt big time! Struggled a bit as i think may be fighting off the sniffles!

Afternoon from Makers workshop to Emu River and Return. Jo rode the bike and I ran with the dog. Legs a little heavy from yesteday but otherwise felt ok. Nice and flat!

Hardest period on the MTB for some time. Started from deddigton with the aim of riding to stacks bluff for a trek and a return ride. Ran into some private property issues along the way but otherwise seen no one for the entire jouney. Time got away from us nd the trip took longer than expected so with the weather not looking so good we headed back. Could not of asked for a better "XPD ride" plenty of hills and rugged 4wd/motorbike tracks. Apart from a brief stomach ache I felt ok for most of hte journey. Emma and AB looked strong (AB especially good in the water) and steve didnt feel so good for a lot of the journey but toughed it out. Great outing.

Return to paddling with AB and steve at the wharf. Lots of ships in so the usual wharf efforts were shelved and paddled to west park point instead. Returned via breakwater. First paddle in a long time and felt a little unstable in the cross swell.. but managed to stay dry. Google sys about 7.5km.

Endurance body exercise work out with shuttle runs as recovery period. Used the beach as a base so lots of sand running.

Trek with AB, loop from lobster creek road to mt duncan, fog flats, tram track and return. Very soilid first hour to the base of Mt Duncan, legs very heavy from yesteday. Very little food and latish night made preperation pretty poor so was on struggle street for much of the day. Views from Mt Duncan were awesome - alternate track from top to bottom very "unused" so lot of looking to pick up the markers, Run along creek on the valley floor was highlight.Good to get some solid work on the legs, focus now needs to be on climbing, climbing and more climbing!!! Very Lazy Aftternoon.

Jo was playing and kids watching soccer so headed out on the MTB. Drove to resovoir drive and started from anzac park made my way accross to deep creek creek rd, oldina then calder - picked up a track that ended up in a gravel pit, raod around for ages trying to find exit. Plenty of hike a bike through the forestry as some hills unridable - up or down. Ended up got hit out and found plenty of places to go again.

off the bike, quick shower and then up for a run in the twos - not overly exciting finished 1-1 but more leg work!

Boxing session with KAW, really good work out. Struggling for time lately, so good to have solid session. New gortex trabuco feel very comfortable.

Time for a quick Mothers Day ride before meeting Jo for lunch at the Pub!
From home to Resovoir drive, through to Wynyard finishing at the top pub.
Cruisy ride, pretty sticky in the forestry and icy wind. Got to love these clear, sunny an very cool days.

KAW training boxing and running session. Very enjoyable session even though not feeling 100% and 2 x 800m at the end di not help!
Note: dropped off sponsorship proposal...........some positive comments so hope to get go ahead. Invited him to come on some training sessions with us which he was sounded keen on.

Ride the MTB from home to Crustys to meet Jo + Kids for lunch. Slotted in a few tarmac hills (seabrook / village lane) on the way then headed up east cam valley, got about a km in and seen the logging crew working so made a quit exit before seen. This area seems out of bounds until they are finished which is a big bummer. Felt ok on the bike but had big case of the cbfs today so just happy i did something!
