Run race 45:16 [5] 10.0 km (4:32 / km)

Burnire Ten road race. Entered with a heap of fellow employees with an aim of getting under 50 minutes. Ended up with 45.16 my best 10km for a long time. Felt like I had a little bit left so it was nice to see the result of Muppet training showing some results. Recovered well and felt good afterwards.

MTB 1:15:00 [3] 12.0 km (6:15 / km)

MTB ride up and around the cam valley. Not many Km but plenty of hills. Dozers have been working around the bottom track and made it a big mess. Legs felt very weary so was in strggleville for most of the ride. Capped of a very lethargic day.

Trek 2:15:00 [3] 8.0 km (16:53 / km)

Continued trek along coast to Interview river. Magic night for trek, big surf and semi moonlight made for a very enjoyable journey. Tried for a few hours kip on interview sand dunes but very restless and a bit cool.
6 AM

Trek 6:00:00 [3] 25.0 km (14:24 / km)

Left interview river and headed further along coast then up into the dunes to try and located track into the old interview mine, we followed this and picked up the return inland track back to the pieman heads. The last couple of hours we did a 5 on 5 off shuffle walk. Awesome views of the surronding ranges and coast were highlights - heaps of water on the track. Interesting information on the interview mine on below link.

Paddle 3:00:00 [3] 18.0 km (10:00 / km)

Finished trek and jumped int he boats for paddle back to corinna. Legs were not happy and hamstrings were in constant pain for the journey. Paddle against the current and wind for the first half then wind died off and finally swung around to to be a tail for the last few km. Trained home with AB doing a power of work on the front for the whole journey. Watching steve miss a couple of paddle strokes as he fell asleep on the way back was a highlight. packed up and had coffee just as the rain came in.

Paddle 2:00:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:40 / km)

Paddle from Corinna to Pieman heads, started in drizzling rain and just on dark, reasonable flow in river so was quicker than expeted trip to the head. After rain subsided, was beautiful evening to paddle. Arrived at 10 pm, hid boats and changed into trek gear.
11 PM

Trek 1:15:00 [3] 4.0 km (18:45 / km)

Trek from pieman heads, north alomg the coast. Heaps of water on the track so plenty of puddle jumping and bush bashing to get around the water holes.

Trek 5:02:00 [4] 28.0 km (10:47 / km)

Run, trek around the freycinet circuit (and random hills to take in the views). Got the full gamet of tassie weather - cold wind, rain, hail and beautiful sunshine. Car park to Wineglass, Mt Graham, Mt Freycinet, Cooks beach, Hazard beach back to Wineglass and back over the saddle to car park. Found some hot spots on my feet that will need tapping. Good hitout with nice elevation. Lots of watre about. Kept up with recent tradition with very nice spill on flat track between cooks and hazard beaches - lucky no cameras.
