More track exploring at rocky cape. Started with 5km ride up the railway from black river then fire trails to Mawbanna road, after a brief look found the route that i had had marked and headed to the milicent valley from a different direction to previous night ride. lots of storm damage so on and off the bike lots through here - nice to see in the daylight, very nice. Hills are not any less steep so hike a bike for a few sections. Got back to the bottom of the hills on the Rocky Cape side and took the wrong track - compass told me i was going the wrong way!!! back to track intersection and picked what i thought was the right one but added extra 30 minutes to the journey. Mistake was not to take bearing as the correct track was about 30m to the right heading off in the same direction but swung to east whist the one we took headed more north.
Nice spot to do some riding and getting a good idea of the track network and it was good Navigation practice. It was not overly enjoyable though - got big dose Flu atm so struggled most of the way. Steve was looking very comfortable.

Recon for trail run course with Steve. Followed eastern inlet around the perimeter to see if it was runnable - not really but still did it anyway. Fai bit of bush bashing towards the end before we ended up on black river beach. Followed the beach around to black river, picked up a privet track that lead us back to the highway and to where we had left Stevens car. Actually enjoyed the run.
