Back is still tweaked, but was able to do steady run without much pain. Two easy taper workouts next week and lots of rest will hopefully set it right.

Good ride and fast time for me on this route. Tweaked back again just before the last climb. A little massage this afternoon. Cannot wait to race next weekend. The fun of being out again will offset the view from the back. Love to race with my teammate, my best friend since we were 12. Needless to say, we have been friends for awhile. Dan and I have celebrated a lot of victories and dealt with a lot of tough losses in a variety of sports over the years. In the end, we always find some great laughs regardling of the sport or our speed that day.

Random day, felt good on a cold foggy morning. Two flats around valve and boom no more tubes for the rear wheel and 10 miles from home. As I was getting my head around a long walk home someone offered to help and gave me a spare tube. I will pass the tube along to someone else someday, but appreciated the generosity.

Nice morning run in the fog. Felt good all day and have basically arrived at the level of fitness that I will have for the race. It should be fine for the race since our biggest obstacle remains navigation.
