Good steady ride this morning. Looked a little foolish as it was cold when I left and then warmed up pretty well at the end and I was too lazy to take off the layers. Secondary goal this year is to get my cycling back to speed in my 20's. I am sick off getting dropped by a wide assortment of people and it does not matter if they are going 15 min and I am out 4hrs.

Got home from the run yesterday around 11pm. Kyle and I agreed to a 5am start for a decent ride. Felt bad to slow him down and held back his mileage and probably cut some altitude to make it back in time. Punished on decents and climbs and possibly more except for some mercy pacing.
Good time and always good to get the hay in the barn by 8am.

Good run with Kyle, not quite as fast or as long as last time. Trying to find the perfect balance for the run. Make him do intervals on bike earlier on day, fight a cold, and carry an outrageously heavy pack while I carry just 3L of Nuun and a little food. Could not tell if it is better to lighten the pack and get a ride on the magic tow rope or weigh him down to my speed. I sure we will do this more than a few times this year to test my strategies. Also, any rumors of fear of wildlife are untrue. I just prefer it in excess of the 15 ft. radius we are experiencing. He also made me jump with a false siting (which one of us thought was funny).
