Spinning 20:00 [3]

20 second intervals of 300+ Watts. About 40 second rest in between each. Since the classes are taking a break this week I am trying to to start my high end watts to imrpove my power and hopefully even my 20 min TT.

Resort Skiing 4:00:00 [3]

Revy skiing. Pretty tired from the last two weeks and didn't get into it that much. I also don't like the position of my bindings on my sirens so it was hard to ski agressively.

Spinning 2:00:00 [3]

Time trial night with a few drills before. My legs felt heavy from skiing last week so I didn't reach my previous best watts.

Backcountry Skiing 8:30:00 [3] +2025m

Last day at Dezaiko lodge. The weather warmed up and the snow was falling all day. We woke up to about 15cm of fresh snow and throughout the day it snowed another 30 cm. The snow was awesome! We headed out with the full group in the morning but after our first run down the trees most of the group headed back. Revy, Mike and I stayed for another bunch of runs. The week of skiing added up and by the end of the day my feet were feeling really tired. The last run down to the cabin had amazing snow. The snow was splashing us in the face! Good finish to a great week.

Backcountry Skiing 8:30:00 [3] +2400m

Another day over by the trees (I think it was called Sunny Side). Super fun skiing again. I felt better skiing without my heavy camera and had much more energy than the previous day. We lapped the slope 4 or 5 times before heading back.

Backcountry Skiing 6:30:00 [3] +1700m

A bit of a shorted day for me since my back was really getting tired from carrying too much weight. My camera added a bunch extra and I didn't last the full day. Revy, Dave, Mike and I headed out exploring above the Sunny Side and all the way down to the valley bottom. Found some really good snow towards the end of the day. My skis rock! They are such floaters!

Backcountry Skiing 8:00:00 [3] +1880m

I'm getting the days a bit mixed up, but I think this was the day we spent "opposite" to the cabin. Revy, Mike and I found some really good snow towards the end of the day. Best snow during the trip so far.

Backcountry Skiing 7:00:00 [3]

Another very cold morning at -30C. We toured up and above the cabin into the alpine. It was sunny and beattiful and the wind stayed down as well today so it wasn't too bad up high. The terrain was very wind hammered so the snow as not good. as we crested one of teh ridges to head down the other side there was too much settling and thumping going on for our taste. At one point you could hear an "explosion" under our feet which carried all across the flat section. We turned around and found some better snow facing back towards the cabin. We had lunch in the cabin and headed back out to the opposite side of the valley and skied the trees.

Backcountry Skiing 3:00:00 [3] +800m

Arrived at Dezaiko lodge a day later than planned since we were weathered out and the helicopter could not fly. It was quick to settle into the cabin and we managed to get some turns in during teh afternoon. Explored above the cabin and also just past the cabin.

Spinning 2:00:00 [3]

Good stuff again in this class. We did 3 - 15 minute time trials. The first was 15 minutes flat out on your own followed by 10 minutes of rest. The next was shared on a team of 4. 4 minutes each flat out (one person did 3 minutes). The last one was 10 minutes flat out on your own with a 10 minute rest followed by a 5 minute flat out effort. My goal was to beat Mike but in the end we were pretty much even. I beat him by 200 meters once and twice he beat me by 100 m....
