Backcountry Skiing 6:00:00 [3] +1800m

It's great to be Bart and Courtney for the weekend! They sure have a good life! We were playing the game a little too well when their friends even thought we were driving around in their car :). Their suspicious friends were: Brendan, Vanessa and Joel We tried to behave well so that they are still Bart and Courtney's friends when they come back.

An awesome day of skiing powder and learning that our new phat skis rock! Wow, increadible runs! We went up somewhere just past Begbie (by km 35 on the highway) and worked our way through a couple of cutblocks and then up to the top through the trees (total of 3 hrs for the first climb). We looped a couple of runs before skiing all the way down. Fast and sweet stuff! I liked the treeskiing there. The trees were far enough apart that you could pick up the speed and have a blast. It got quite tricky towards the bottom where we skied out a gully that had old avalanche debris in it. Just kind of survived through that.

Mike looked very stylish on his new Insanes and I felt (but probably didn't look quite as stylish) on my new Manaslus!

After driving in and out of the driveway a few times, the snow is nicely compressed (almost as if we shovelled)....Bart will be impressed.

Resort Skiing 5:00:00 [3]

Skiing in Revy is not the same without "Bartney"! The house is so empty!

The morning was okay but the hill wasn't in great shape. My new skis are not great in icy conditions, but hopefully tomorrow I get to try them in deeper stuff, going up Begbie. Mike tried his new Insanes today and he did really well despite the lack of deep snow. Tomorrow night we are supposed to get 23cm so Monday should be super.

Spinning 2:00:00 [3]

Lots of E4 and Map work. I was having to work pretty hard to hold everything since I still can't breathe very well. Hopefully the cold will leave before the weekend!
