Tabata run x 1 (8 repeats with warmup and cooldown).

Felt pertty good for the first time out running for a while. My legs are super tight though. Stretching and rolling afterwards shows what happens when you have been skipping regular stretching....my IT bands were in rough shape.

Backcountry Skiing 2:00:00 [3]

A 33 km profile ride in teams of two. Both rode at the same time, but one was the lead and when the lead person hit the next km both riders would start that km. High E4 and map pretty much the whole ride. Towards the end one person rode and the other rested with the only rule to keep the same slope.

Backcountry Skiing 4:00:00 [3] +2700m

A day of cat skiing to finish our Yurt trip off. Mike and I joined a group of Swiss and Canadian skiers for a really fun day on all kinds of peaks in the Ymir area. Total time out was a little over 6 hours but some of that time was spent in the cat. On one run we boot packed up to a high peak for some extra elevation which was worth it. Many runs in the trees were full of logs and pillows so we got to practice our jumping quite a bit. It was so much fun! The last run took us down a perfectly covered slope of nice fluffy powder - a great finish to the weekend!
