Paddle 1:50:00 [3]

Down at the res with a bunch of intervals for the last 30 min. Nice day!

Hike/Scramble 4:00:00 [3] +1620m

Went up Lady McDonald and Chinaman's Peak (Ha Ling Peak), both at a steady pace. Super warm day and the tights felt too warm, but they are so good for my IT bands. No issues at all. We turned around a little before the summit of Ha Ling to try to make it back to MEC before they closed for the night, but we didn't make it. Instead we came home and had home made burgers.

Paddle 1:40:00 [3]

A pretty good paddle with the last 30-40 minutes of 30 stroke intervals.

Mountain Biking 1:30:00 [3]

Commute. Almost not worth logging as trainng today since I rode very slowly on the way home because of a bit of knee pain. Maybe from the GT where I pushed a bit up the hills.

I must have looked pretty funny riding with just one leg all the way up the Centre Street hill (I even passed two cyclist riding that way).

Running hills 40:00 [3]
shoes: XA Pro Ultra1_1

4 repeats on the Edworthy trail. Today I could run all the way up for the first three repeats, but only half the way on the fourth. When I say run, it is a very strange trotting...I wonder if I would be faster speed hiking. I will compare the next time.

Running 45:00 [3]
shoes:

Along the ridge and back to the curling club for a few repeats. My pace was a little quicker than usual (my Garmond died half way out so I have no data to record). A stitch was bugging me for most of it -- wish there was a good way to get rid of them.

Weights/Strength 40:00 [3]

Upper body and a little bit of core.

Paddle 1:30:00 [3]

A paddle on the resevoir in the rain. When will real spring arrive I wonder?

Note

Physio was awesome tonight! I feel so much better already. Next week my physo is even going to check out the fitting of my road bike. Sweet! Maybe he can see something right away that I can change. That would be super. I rather not put the bike aside all summer.

Road Biking 4:41:00 [3] 112.0 km (2:31 / km)

From Golden back to Castle Junction. Today was a really good day. Hard work climbing so much for sure. The first 30km is pretty much one long climb (with one fun downhill leading up to the new bridge on hwy 1) and half the way onto it I had pulled a bit of a gap on Mike. Then he caught up and passed me. He created a gap quite quickly on me but I decided that I didn't like that. I started working to catch up when I noticed that Pat from "Blood Sugar, Sweat and Tears" hooked onto my draft. I steadily caught up with Mike about 5 minutes before the end of the climb. Fun. Form here on we would be fighting a pretty strong head wind for the rest of the day. The climb out of Field was pretty tough. Mike put a gap on me very early on and I would work for the rest of the climb to try to catch him. Towards the end I nearly had him, but he stopped before I had a chance to fully catch him. We rode for most of the day with Pat, Katherine and Todd. It was good to be able to draft at the end when the headwind was making things hard.
