Managed to get a paddle in after work tonight. Felt nice to be out. We helped some people rescue their canoe when they tipped over. It was kind of funny to see three people in this big metal canoe paddle away with the third person sitting on top of the yoke. Mike and I sort of wanted to follow them to see what would happen. On our way back from our lap we discovered that they had indeed ended up in the water and so had their friends who had already been rescued by a sailing boat.
Activation of order entry at the Alberta Children's Hospital today. HR goes high every time an issue comes in. So far nothing has been related to any configuration that my team has done and so far no critical issues. Hope the next few days continue this way.
Hill repeats at Edworthy. Only did 4 repeats. The first being somewhat of a warm up one. The next few were pretty bad since I was bonking big time. Oh, well, not every training session can be great I suppose.
Hill repeats (x6) at Edworthy on the Fuel EX. Felt pretty good. Some skatboarders were flying down the hill on their long boards. Pretty cool. They picked up some serious speed. One guy was pretty good and seemed in control of what he was doing. He said he was taking it easy without his protective gear.
Commuting. Competed with a bus from Heritage and beat it all the way down town. Mind you, the bus had to stop a bunch to pick up and drop off people while I could just keep biking.
Hike/Scramble2:30:00 [3]
Went out to the Powderface area and bushwhacked up 4 small peaks including some flatter bushwhacking and navigation in between. It was a super nice night and we found some neat new areas for navigation practice.
Scambled up Mt Baldy. Went a strange roundabout way up to the top to avoid the technical downclimb, but decided to go the more direct route down. It was super windy out, but great to be out there. We ran into Mike Melnick and crew -- they were out training for FMIJ....
