Paddle 2:15:00 [3]

A consistent paddle at mid effort (bricked with the run)
11 AM

Running (Trail) 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: XA Pro Ultra 2_1

Stayed in town training today. Did my hill repeats in Edworthy Park and ran a bit on the Douglas Fir trail as a cool down. Beautiful summer day today. Sunny and 15C during the run, but probably even warmer now.

Running (Trail) 2:00:00 [3]
shoes: XA Pro Ultra 2_1

In and out on the Minnewanka trail with a scramble thrown in half way through. Rainy weather, but still a lot of fun.
1 PM

Hike/Scramble 2:30:00 [3]

A scramble up to the top of the Aylmer lookout and then past it in the bush up the ridge and beyond. We made it further than when we attempted this with Bart and Brent a few years back The weather started letting up when we got to the top so we had some really nice views.

Kayak Ergo 15:00 [3]

A bit of a warmup before strength work.

Weights/Strength 45:00 [3]

Felt good this morning...maybe becasue it's Friday and I know it will be another fun weekend. Looking forward to trail running and scrambling tomorrow. Will try the Minnewanka trail and area. Our training program is starting to taper a bit so will have to enjoy the longer days while they are still in the schedule. BC Bike race is not far off now and yet I have barely given it much thought. RTNX is what has me more excited this summer.

Beautiful day in Calgary today! 20C and sunny!!! Perfect training weather. Too bad it's getting cold over the weekend again. Had a good run from downtown out to the Douglas Fir trail and Edworthy Park and then looped back home along the river and our community. Had to do a couple of loops around the block to pass some time.

Mountain Biking 2:20:00 [3]

Mountain bike ride in the chilly Kananaskis. The trails were too wet to ride so we did Moose mountain twice. Good climbing for sure!
9 PM

Running 30:00 [3]
shoes: XA Pro Ultra1_1

A trail run bricked with the bike. Stayed low and found dry trails near the road. Legs felt good, but feet were so frozen that it was a bit tricky to keep a smooth gait. It's nice to feel that running is less cumbersome now.

Running (Road Run) 45:00 [3]
shoes:

Road run with heavy pack. My legs felt really energized which is really weird as it was so early in the morning, I was running with a heavy pack and we did a bunch of bike hills last night. But I'm not going to question it - just enjoy it when it happens.

Kayak Ergo 2:00:00 [3]

The reservoir still closed so more indoor work. I worked so hard I wore the cord out today. It snapped off and I flew off the ergo and onto the floor.

Road Biking 1:43:00 [3]

My first ride on the new bike. E2 riding with hill repeats. Bike feels quite different than my old one, which was expected. Will take a few rides to get used to and tweak it to my liking. Fun ride.
9 PM

Running (Road Run) 35:00 [3]

This was supposed to be a 50 min run, but it was getting late and I was getting hungry so I cut it short. Ran with my full pack again and felt pretty good. Surprised that I felt as good as I did considering our event yesterday.
