Much colder today and we were having issues keeping toes and fingers warm. I started to warm up at the end, but we decided to start heading home.

We tried our new skate skis at Nipika resort where the weather was forcasted to be much warmer than in Calgary and it turned out to be true. I tried to focus on my technique rather than speed and think I got my "one skate" to work much better than in November when I was learning to skate ski. I also managed to sustain the skating up some longer climbs, although I'm sure it wasn't pretty. We explored most of the trails on the north side, including a few in and outs on a one way trail when we got a bit spun around. The trail system at Nipika is quite pretty and has a nice family feel to it where everyone is chatting to everyone.

I included about half my normal routine and focused on abs, core and upper body (no legs today).

A really good basement workout. I'm refining my routine to focus a lot of my weaknesses but also ensuring I still work everything else a little as well.
