Hike/Scramble (Walk) 2:00:00 [1]
shoes: Spikecross

A walk on the Douglas Fir trail. I'm feeling really bored with walking. I was so tempted to break into a run, but restrained myself. I only have 8 more days until I can let loose.

Hike/Scramble 4:00:00 [2] 20.0 km (12:00 / km) +1031m 9:32 / km
shoes: Spikecross

Hiked the west Bragg trail system while Mike did his long run. I really had my butt handed to me on this one. I forgot how tiring climbing is. In the first 10 minutes my bladder (well not mine, but my pack's) fully emptied out on my back. When I was half around the loop I started regretting going for the full thing. I bonked and at the end I felt like I had raced. It was awesomly beatiful out witn +10ish temps. Mike and I had a deal to meet at the car at 3:30, but as usual that didn't work out. He got social with people he met on the trail and showed up at 4:20 instead. He needs to stop having fun and being so nice :). Isn't this world anout me?

Hockey (Skating) 1:15:00 [1]

This was just a skate, not hockey.

Poor Mike had just stepped in through the door after his workday when I started pestering him about skating (really not his favorite). He is such a good sport and came along without any complaints :). It felt awesome. I had to avoid stopping and and sharp turning. I essentially just went around and around. I tried a few bursts but felt like it was using the core a bit much. The best thing is that it felt a bit like a workout. I'll try to do more of this soon.

Yoga 30:00 [1]

Same routine as the last two days.

Spinning 1:00:00 [1]

Kept this spin incredibly easy with very minimal resistance. It really wasn't a workout as much as a social. Great for the soul to be around the spin family.

Yoga 30:00 [1]

Ouch, my hammies were really sore from yesterday. It felt great to keep working on them though. Towards the end things were much looser.

Yoga 30:00 [1]

This is the first attempt at a daily yoga session to bring some sort of flexibility and mobility back. Any abs or core work will have to wait, but hammies, calfs, groins and back can use some work. I'm also trying to slowly and carefully stretch out the abs area to relieve tension in skin and scar tissue. I'm very, very stiff, but I know that will change if I stick to this.
