Felt a bit of improvement already as I was better able to hold steady minE2 and a bit of a more solid E3. My last E3 set was a bit of work to keep up but managed to in the end.

A run with CO and Lucas on the trail systems just past the Fairmont hot springs, the Spirit Trail. I felt good on this run in that I wasn't hurting anywhere and that I had a consistent run. I still had to walk most uphills and I was slow.

I think I'm finally on right track with my training in that I need to bring my training down in intensity and duration until I have rebuilt my base and strength. Today's spin was challenging but felt like it was at the right level. The first two times through were hard and the third required some deeper focus to get through. It felt really good to get through what felt to me as a solid workout. It was also very good to do this workout alone at home as I had no temptations to try to go harder and follow a program that I'm not ready for. This approach will likely lead to less frustration and depression around my current fitness level. I will plan to take the same approach with my running and slowly build it back.

Whoohoo, a very happy day so far.
