Mountain Biking 4:29:00 [3] 74.25 km (3:37 / km) +867m 3:25 / km
I started this solo ride with an in and out on the Minnewanka Trail, turning around at the cabin. The trail was in excellent condition with only two spots still washed out from last year's flood. It was pretty easy to cross with only getting my tip toes wet. I got into the riding right away and felt good riding my own bike. I continued into Banff via some road and some exploring on trails I didn't even know until I spotted them. One was super crappy, likely a horse trail, and I could barely keep any speed up at all since it was really bumpy with steep sidewalls and no space to ride on either side. The original plan had been to continue onto Rundle Riverside for a loop around Rundle, but Mike texted me from his run and mentioned that there were about 20 fallen trees across the trail. Instead I did an in and out on Goat Creek, which isn't a very fun trail but it has some steady climbing. The weather was fantastic and it was super nice to be out. Finished with the sushi train.
