Weights/Strength 45:00 [3]

Starting to get a flow in the program now. It's nice to work out over lunch as it brings me away from the computer.

Mountain Biking 1:45:00 [3]

Out with the Rebound crew again. There was much less stopping tonight as the group was a little faster than usual. The last 30 minutes we had to pull out our lights. My light doesn't work with my new helmet which was good to figure out before heading out on a pure night ride. The light is too heavy and the helmet rides down over my eyes.

Running (Trail) 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (7:30 / km) +560m 5:33 / km
shoes: Salomon Speed

CNC run on the same loop as last night, only backwards and finishing with the Mosquito trail rather than the full power line. The Salomon Speed are really good on the wet, rocky ground. They grip really well on the downhills. Too many dogs tonight. Two of the dogs were especially difficult to run with. They would run past you and stop right in the middle of the narrow trail and not move (even when you ran into them and tried to push them gently out of the way). One of them was trailing his leash between his legs and way behind him, making it way too easy to step on as he was flying past. I'm not going to be running on Tuesday nights over the winter but I think I will bring it ip anyway. It's not enjoyable.

Weights/Strength 50:00 [3]

It was only my second time through this but somehow it felt much easier than last week. Maybe just remembering some of the things made it better. I adjusted some of the weights and would last through an entire set rather than collapsing early.

Running (Trail) 1:00:00 [3] 8.0 km (7:30 / km) +560m 5:33 / km
shoes: Salomon Speed

Myka and Co joined me for this run. It was a very nice evening and this loop from Quarry to Grassi Lakes and back on Highline is a nice little run. I tried the new Salomon Speed today. I was hoping they would give the feel of the Speedcross but the stability of the S-Lab Sense Ultra and I think they came pretty close. I'm definitely a fan of the lower profile (4mm on this Speed vs. 8mm on the Speedcross). I roll my ankles less with the lower profile.

Ride in Fernie with Mike x 3 and Greg. Manage to get a pretty good ride done before the rain moved in. The Montane side was still in good shape.

Weights/Strength 55:00 [3]

Holy crap, can I ever tell I never worked on any upper body since my surgeries. I'm so weak! No abs whatsoever and my arms die very quickly. My baseline is way off my targets, but now I have a plan and a goal to aim for. This program will be really good for me. It wasn't even that boring to do with music blaring.
