Running race (Causey Pike) 45:23 [5] 4.0 mi (11:21 / mi)

Good day out in the lakes. Well worth the journey. Hadn't run up anything so steep in a long time. Tough climb from the end of the road at the start, followed by a short run along the ridge, before another ascent. There was a short scrambly section at the very top too to add to the fun. Quite a runnable grassy slope down to a rocky path heading back towards the village. Small river crossing and a bit of contouring back to the road, and you're done.

Pretty good overall. Only disappointment was that I was really slow coming down the hill. Quite a few guys got past me here, when I had hoped to make up some ground.

Running hills 45:00 [5]
ahr:175 max:188

Can't go to intervals tonight so I decided to skip maths and do some hills instead. Think I made the right decision. Pretty tough session when there's no one else around though; no excuse for not going right to the top on all of them!

Running hills 40:00 [5]

Tough session tonight. Started further down the road than last time, so unsurprisingly it was harder than I remembered. Felt a bit sore from circuits yesterday and my lungs weren't too good, but I struggled on anyway and ground out 6 reps.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [3]

Run to kaye place, then to the bottom of the big bad hill, and then warm down with Marcus around crookes.
