New training loop! And first time download of GPS data to attack point.
Double sweetness.
Road run up 202, then follow wood road up to Suffern Bear Mountain trail. Then follow SBM down to unmarked trails leading to home. Top quality loop. Even had a tricky river crossing when you first leave 202.
split 2- leave 202, cross river and follow steep woods road up to SBM.
split 3- Join up with SBM at Stoned Memorial shelter. GPS correctly shows me going into shelter to check it out!
split 4- SBM crosses kakiat trail
split 5 - Leave SBM and head down toward home on unmarked trails.
road ride ( flat tire change in dark) 1:10:00 [3] 14.0 mi (5:00 / mi) slept:6.5
pre-dawn road ride with my very nice princetontec 3 LED @ 3 watts each ligting system.
5:35 reached far point and headed home
5:40 flat tire and still 6 miles from home. The high pressure road tires blow out if you hid a rock any bigger than a couple of inches.
5:50- tire fixed. Changing road tires is a chore. I can change a mountain bike tire in 3 minutes. The road tire takes forever to re-seat because the bead is so tigh.
6:15 -home. Wake up Aleck and tell him we are running 10 minutes late.
6:55- showered, dressed ready to go. Aleck manages to hop on the bus on its second pass.
7:03-@suffern parking lot one minute late for my train but it is not there! sprint for the platform
7:04- Heading to the city
8:11- at work.
