Terrible Day. Went to Craftsbury to do the 50K and had nothing in the tank. skied 4K and felt like the race should have been over. I am really depressed about the way this season is going. My fitness level is so high but this flu has killed all my work. I don't know what to do. I hope 6 days will clear it away and Lake Placid will work.

Classic roller ski. Did 6 x 6 min L 3-4. Race pace. Energy felt good. Power was down a bit. Didn't cough till it was all over. Hopefully I wake up solid and should be good to go on Sat.

This was 75% run 25% hike today. First real session and it went pretty well. Still a few coughing spells but energy was good and a pickup felt good. Tomorrow is super important as it will be a real thrown down effort. keep fingers crossed.

Still lingering cough but energy seems to be improving. I hope to train tomorrow a bit to shake things out.

Made a tough call today....not to race the 15K classic. Yesterday proved my body was not ready for a real effort. The next two weeks are too important and if I am not 100% Craftsbury and the Loppet will be a disaster
